I bought this on a whim not even really knowing what cedar wood smells like, but it turned out to be an unexpected lifesaver and exactly what I needed. At first I didn’t like the scent because it’s obviously quite woody and masculine and I generally prefer florals, but it is the perfect thing to control silverfish populations in the house. Those insects don’t like the smell and it keeps them away. Over time I have grown to like the smell, but I still use it in a diffuser mixed with some lavender and eucalyptus oil to make the smell nicer for me. I thought the amount and size would be way too much but it’s actually good that I bought this much given that I need it for pest control. The one thing I don’t really like is the package, the bottle with the child protection cap is just a bit unnecessary and takes a surprising amount of force to open.
Product Review: Now Foods Cedarwood Oil Scent: The scent of Now Foods Cedarwood oil is earthy and woody, evoking a sense of calm and grounding. Use: This essential oil can be used for aromatherapy, to create a soothing environment, and in DIY skincare and haircare recipes. What I like about it: I appreciate the natural and pure quality of Now Foods Cedarwood oil. Its therapeutic scent and versatile use make it a staple in my collection.
notice that this is the cedar Virginia essential oil and it explains the low price. you do have to use it in much! smaller dilutions than Atlantic cedar. so i feel they should write that. quality is fair. the benefit is the price for size but the age limits and other warnings are just not there and that's bad.
Great essential oil for using to resell insects with its great scent, and its natural. The quality is great, and the size of the bottle last, you only need to use about 6 drops in a 2 cup spray bottle of pure water and 6 drops or so of peppermint oil, and lemon grass oil, orange oil if you have...shake well spray around crevices throughout house.
the scent isn't what I expected I guess. it smells very faint and subtle. I wanted it for my aromatherapy oil lamp. I didn't want to use the synthetic oils from the shops. I have to research it's benefits on the skin as the size seems generous. I need to check a pine oil for a more potent smell maybe.
Good quality product, although didn't like the scent. I saw another reviews that people said they had same perception as I: smoke.... tobacco smell. No wonder it is used in diffuser as repellant to bugs and flies. Yet, prime composition and good package suits now food quality. Just brought my consideration to what I felt smelling it.

Glass bottle with a child-proof cap on it. The cap can be a little troublesome to open. The scent itself is quite nice. Do note that it is quite a strong smell. I mainly got this oil to use on old cedar blocks for closets and drawers. When I first put the oils on the blocks, the entire room smelled wonderful until the oils soaked into the blocks I used them on.
